We are looking for passengers on the first flights of Beijing-Toronto route five years ago
Hainan Airlines launched its first non-stop flight between Beijing-Toronto on November 27, 2010, which also marked the 40th anniversary of Canada-China Diplomatic Relationship between the two countries. Ever since then, this flight has become the bridge of convenience, safety and comfortable that connects the people across the ocean.
Remember Air Bus A340 used for the first flight? Every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday,this wide-body aircraft carried passengers to either side of the ocean. Hainan Airlines provides passengers of China and Canada with more flight options and benefits them with improving service quality among the competition with other airlines.
With the arrival of our Boeing 787 – Dreamliner on March 31, 2014, and the realization of its daily flying on May 1, 2014, Hainan Airlines was pleased be the first airline who used the highest-class Boeing in the Canada-China route. This is a milestone for Hainan Airlines. With more advanced engine systems and more comfortable cabins, Hainan Airlines, by upholding its idea, turn a regular flight into a wonderful and unforgettable experience.
November 27, the fifth anniversary of the first Beijing-Toronto flight, is a day to be remembered and pride for by every Chinese people, and a day to be grateful for by every Hainan Airliner. During the past five years, the collective inputs from every Hainan Airliners, the great support of every partner, as well as every passenger’s trust have contributed to more than 4,000 take-offs and landings, along with hundreds of thousands passengers’ safe and pleasure travel experiences.
The memories of excitement, cheers, tears and joy are still haunting. It's been five years, dear passengers of the first flight. How are you holding up? We've been looking forward to meeting you again, to look back into the past, and to anticipate for the future!
Starting from November 27, 2015, Toronto Office of Hainan Airlines will be holding an event to look for passengers, crew members, or any people ever involved in our first Beijing-Toronto flight. If you are one of them, you are so welcome to show us your cherished memories, whether they are photos, boarding passes, short essays, or news reports, or even screenshots from Weibo, WeChat or Facebook about the flight. A secret HaiFive gift will be waiting for you. All the participants will receive a special gift and the best five (5) participants will be invited to attend a POP-UP lucky draw on November 27, 2015 at Toronto Pearson Airport.
Items that we are looking for are as follows:
- 1. Boarding passes or tickets for Hainan Airlines flight HU7975 from Beijing to Toronto or flight HU7976 from Toronto to Beijing on November 27, 2010;
- 2. Photos, news reports, or screenshots from Weibo, WeChat or Facebook related to the first flight;
- 3. Please send one or more of the above items toToronto@hnair.com, and an attached short essay within 200 words describing the day or photos are strongly advised.
